Case registered against most wanted drug dealer in Baramulla: Police
Srinagar / / Continuing the campaign to ensure eradication of drugs from the society, police have registered a case under the PIT and DPS Act against a most wanted and notorious drug peddler in North Kashmir district Barhumulhu. Due to this, he has been kept lodged in Central Jail Court Bilwal, Jammu.
Giving details, a police spokesperson said in a statement that the police have registered a case under the PIT and DPS Act against a most wanted and notorious drug dealer in Barhumulhu. They have identified the drug peddler as Daud Ahmed Soofi, son of Ghalam Hasan Soofi, resident of Sunland, Khati Puruh Tangmarg.The statement said that this action against the said drug dealer was taken after obtaining permission from the authorized authority and he was kept locked in the Central Jail, Kot Bulwal.Police spokesperson said that several cases were registered against this drug dealer and he was involved in promoting drug trade in Tingmarg and other areas of the district and supplying drugs to local youth.
